Pictor Product Photography App For E-Commerce Ready Images: Professional retouching for product photos shot from mobile

Hi Hunters! I am the co-founder of product photography startup which has done loads of work for many traditional and online retailers. We have worked on a lot of image processing technologies to automate the processes for E-Commerce specific photography, both in the photography and the image retouching. For some time now we have realized that smartphone cameras are quite adept for online retail where the image resolutions are not too big. Moreover quite a lot of retailers are using phones to click product shots. But for any image to used for online retail, quite a bit of retouching needs to be done to adhere the E-Commerce norms . This involves a lot of manual work on Gimp/Photoshop to get the image perfect. Being a tedious task, this is generally omitted by the sellers resulting in shoddy and substandard photographs, ultimately leading to lesser sales. Keeping in mind the issue, we have developed an android application which can guide the users in setting the right environment for photography and also allow them to get the images shot retouched by our team of professional graphic artists. When using the Pictor app, the user browses through a list of suggested angles for the product type and photographs it using his setup. Once the image is captured, the algorithms suggest any changes required in the photograph to make it editable in the post-processing service and asks the user to re-shoot it. After the photography is done the product and its images are uploaded to the server for post production. At Pictor we are focused on creating a seamless production system so that one can quickly and conveniently get the edited product images. We have built a custom platform to automate most of the steps before and after the image editing process. However, to get the finer details and provide the users with the best quality, we do retouch the images manually with our team of professional graphic artists. The final output of the image reaches the user within 1 to 2 working days. The user can let us know any special requirements using the messages section in each product. To avail the post-production service, the user has to recharge his account from the available recharge packages. Each recharge entitles the user to send us the appropriate number photographs for retouching.
