This is a crazy awesome implementation of iMessage on Android. While it does require a mac to act as the "server" - this is actually a plus. It means that Apple won't be able to shut the project down.

This is incredible, i'm waiting for someone to implement a windows client since i'm required to use a Windows computer at work. Also, can this be done on a jailbroken iOS device? i'm sure many people have old iPhones lying around that can be used to relay the messages instead of having a mac running all day.
So....this means i'm sending my iCloud credentials to some server other than Apple's? Sounds legit :-/

Turn this into a pair of precompiled easy-to-use apps for OS X + Android and I'm one of many folks who'd happily pay money for it.

Great idea. Won't be long until we can hack it so we can just have it all contained on the phone rather than using a Mac as a server.

Pretty smart to just hijack the iMessage platform on OSX. Well done. If I was playing around with anything Android right now I'd totally take advantage.
