Hi Product Hunt — I'm the maker of Plates.
Most nutrition trackers are organized around eating less: one number to stay under, with every meal judged against that ceiling. That model doesn't serve people who already can't eat much — after a weight-loss medication, post-surgery, or simply because they have a naturally smaller appetite.
I kept coming back to a different question: what if the most useful number were a floor?
Plates 2.0 is built around a daily protein minimum. The ring shows where you are, each meal shows the bridge — "You're at 62/90g — 28g to go" — and an appetite check-in keeps suggestions gentle on low days. If you ate only part of a meal, 25/50/75/100% portion controls make that easy to record. Calories are still visible as a comfortable band, but they aren't the main event.
I also want to be direct about what isn't built yet: there is no Android app yet, and there is no clinician-facing PDF export yet. Both are real gaps, and I'd value hearing which matters more to this community.

General guidance, not medical advice. If you're on medication, post-surgery, or managing a condition, review your targets with your clinician.
I'd love your candid feedback: does a protein floor feel more useful than another calorie ceiling, and what would you want us to build next?
