Plectica genuinely is a masterpiece. The sheer idea of simulating your consciousness with a visual tool is astounding. I used Plectica last semester as part of the course Systems Thinking, and initially I wasn't sure it would add to productivity. We are so obsessed with immediate short term goals -and not willing to put in a little more work for a longer term benefit of structural improvements to any kind of system. I deeply recommend Plectica to any organization or systems thinker, or even for that matter artist.

I use Plectica every day for my job and studies, it has helped me retain more information more easily, and to be able to share knowledge with my colleagues. I'd definitely recommend trying Plectica, once you've created one map, you'll be hooked and start seeing maps in all you read or learn!

Pros:

The Plectica team, ease of use, collaboration options, you can map literally anything, works great.

Cons:

I think having a team account, instead of just individual accounts, would be great! Imagine the exponential collaboration...

Plectica has done a good job of capturing the natural process of map making into software form. Being able to design, present and share models helps succinctly capture thought processes, and simplify explanations of complex ideas (bonus of a visually pleasing layout). It is truly brilliant!

Best in class systems modeling tool. I've been using it for over a year and it has transformed the way I brainstorm, plan, document, and communicate complex ideas and processes. I no longer need to bend my mind to fit the parameters of my visualization software, thanks to a brilliant core design philosophy that underpins every feature decision.

I can work on one part of a project and see it from the perspective of the entire work flow. Maps can be super simple and incredibly complex. Also I love that maps can be shared.

Pros:

Plectica helps me get organized and enables me to see new relationships and get new ideas. This software helps me think.

Cons:

Maps would be great in 3D!
