Hey Product Hunt!
👋 I’m Aravind — I built Pocket Clear, and I’m excited to share it with you today.
What is Pocket Clear?
Pocket Clear is a simple, privacy-first expense tracker. You record money in, money out, and see where it goes. No bank linking, no ads, no complexity.
Why did I build this?
I tried every expense tracker: Mint, YNAB, PocketGuard, Spendee, Monefy. None worked for me — not because they were bad, but because they were too much. They wanted my bank login (I work in tech; I know how breaches happen). They were complicated (YNAB has courses for an expense tracker). They showed ads and sold or “anonymized” my data. I didn’t need a financial advisor in my pocket — I needed: record in, record out, see where it goes. I couldn’t find something that was both that simple and that private, so I built it.
What problems does Pocket Clear solve?
Privacy by default — Your data stays on your device. We don’t have access to it and can’t sell it. Pro backup is encrypted on your device before it ever leaves; we store encrypted blobs we can’t read.
No ads, ever — Free tier has no ads. Pro is $0.99/month. We make money from the product, not from your attention or data.
Simplicity — We compete on what we don’t add. Track in, track out, see reports. Core use case in about 30 seconds a day.
Works offline — No WiFi? No problem. Track expenses at a coffee shop or abroad with no connection.
What Pocket Clear isn’t
We’re not a financial advisor, we don’t connect to banks, and we’re not YNAB. We’re a simple, private expense tracker for people who just want to see where their money goes.
Why try Pocket Clear today?
If you’re tired of apps that want your bank login, your attention, or your data — and you just want to track spending without the noise — Pocket Clear is for you. It’s free to start, and I’d love to hear what you think.
Thanks for reading — and thanks for being part of the PH community. 🙏
