Hello Product Hunt! We are Carlos, Nico & José from Poliglota (www.poliglota.org) Poliglota is the online language school for Latam, where group classes are led by an instructor. Over 12,000 students have acquired a plan with us 🔥 😬 The big problem with English in Latam In Latam, english is the #1 skill to get a higher income —even better than getting a MBA— and yet only 2% can speak it fluently. Traditional schools and apps don't work because they lack the most important thing: real social practice. 🗣 Poliglota: Small group classes led by instructors The best way to learn a new language is practicing with other people. We developed our "Social Method" based on that: - Small group classes by video call (4-6 people) - Trained instructors (we call them "coaches") - Practice with people with the same level (5 levels in total) - Same group throughout 8 sessions - Skill-based progress tracking in platform People join through plans of 3, 6 or 12 months (average ticket of $500 with upfront payment). We created Poliglota after having struggled learning english ourselves. Having born in Chile in different backgrounds and cities, we experienced ourselves how poorly build is the whole language industry in our country. Now we are happy that more than 12,000 students have learnt English, French, Italian, German or Portuguese using Poliglota, and every month we conduct over 4,200 live classes.
