Love the idea! A really necessary tool for these days of so many great Podcasts around. I like being able to find great EPISODES, not necessarily channels, as you mentioned in your introduction here.
As someone that sees myself as a potential user of this project I miss having some indication of what are the general topics by those channels. I mean, I'm really tired to technology and startup themed podcasts, so I've been avoiding those. But looking at your website I'd have to read all the descriptions of all the episodes to have an idea of which of them have this theme. A very simple tags system could really help - just like we've here in PH :) But maybe the tags could be attached to the podcast channel... dunno.
Moreover I think a better design could make you guys stand more and reach wider audiences. Right now my candid feedback is it looks very amateur, not matching the quality of the idea ;)

Congrats on the launch, happy to see more attempts on solving the podcast discovery problem.
Just to clarify one point about Pod Hunt:
> "only displays podcast episodes that creators have uploaded"
Anyone can join and submit any episode they think is great, it is not just for creators. It is natural for creators to want to share their own content (just like makers post their own products here), but the platform allows anyone to submit any podcast episode they love.

Cool idea! I wonder if it would help if, instead of content creators uploading initially, you scrape podcasts and only show ones that have fewer than X listeners (maybe there’s some proxy metric for listeners that’s available on some other site). That way you go from a two sided marketplace to just one, making it easier to overcome the chicken and the egg problem.
(Although maybe you’ll never have a shortage of podcast creators uploading their content so this may not even be a problem!)
@abagh0703 appreciate the feedback! With Polypods however, we're allowing anyone to nominate podcasts meaning they don't have to be creators themselves. We're hoping that will ensure a strong supply of podcasts to our platform. But I still love the idea of scraping a certain set of podcasts from our side just to be on the safe side, and that's something we'll definitely look into!
