This was my first time purchasing domains. The process went smoothly. I liked the different options when setting up domain forwarding (permanent vs temporary redirecting, redirecting all pages to the root vs path matching). I also appreciated that the dashboard shows useful information: whether autorenewal is on, the renewal date, whether domain locking is on, whether email hosting is set up, and more. Overall, I had a positive experience and plan to renew my domains.
I was initially torn between PorkBun and Cloudfare. Ultimately, I went with PorkBun because of their customer support. Though I haven’t used it, it’s nice knowing that help is available in case I ever need it. Cloudfare was cheaper, but the difference was minimal (less than one dollar in my case). I was advised to avoid GoDaddy because of their reputation for marking up renewal rates.
Though I succeeded in setting up domain forwarding, it was a bit finnicky. I had to add and delete entries in my DNS records and forwarding settings a few times to get it to work correctly. To be fair, this is my first time managing domains, so I'm not sure how it compares to other providers. I recommended PorkBun to a friend, and they told me that the site asked them for their ID during the setup process. I’m not sure if these ID requests are random or trigged by suspicious activity. I was never asked for any ID.

Hey guys!
I have made an introduction video about Porkbun free domains on my Youtube Channel any feedback good/bad would be appreciated 🖖 here's a link https://youtu.be/dQh5k4k1hDM
I love Porkbun's staff team and I like the mildly funny jokes on their websites. They are pretty unprofessional (in a good way), which is what I like about them. They also sometimes have great discounts (like free domains for a whole year), which is why I switched to them from NC. The domain marketplace is also pretty useful, especially the part where you can make it display a site when you're selling it. Their dashboard is pretty ugly though and needs improvement, but I guess that doesn't matter, if it ain't broke, don't fix it? They also include lots of nice benefits like free SSL certificates, whois privacy and email hosting trials.

Their website is straightforward and user-friendly, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. The company has a great personality, mixing professionalism with a fun, welcoming energy. And their support team? Simply fantastic—quick, friendly, and super helpful!
