A few friends of mine just hate voice messages, may be there are not many people that dislike voices that much, but my friends just complaining all the time. So it is a huge help for them. The speed of the bot is pretty low, but if you are not able to listen and you just need to get your voice message in the text, it is quite a good option.

One day sitting at home, my girlfriend began to send me a voice message I couldn’t listen because I was in a noisy company. She had to wait till I'm done and answer her in the Telegram chat. I thought there should be a bot which can translate voice to text, but didn’t find the good one. Then, armed with patience and excellent service WIT.AI I went to make my own bot for speech recognition and output this to text. Why Princess Leia? I’m a Star Wars fan and initially wanted to name the bot BB-8 or R2-D2, but this names were occupied, that’s why I choose Princess Leia as the greatest rebel in a galaxy far, far away.
