The Flappy Bird distraction while it's loading is genius. Reminds me of the top down shooter Tekken included in the Playstation 1.
Technically, how does this work, @edmoyse?
@rrhoover@hyharryhuang's idea. If you can't speed up loading (rate limits), just provide a better loading experience. Genius.
We get your upvoters (PH API, of course!), get their details from the Twitter API, and Klout Scores that we store on our servers. Then we use this info to show you your most influential upvoters (so you don't miss a journalist or investor).
Very accepting of feedback, so if you have ways you think we could improve, just let us know!
@rrhoover@edmoyse thanks! The game itself is adapted from a github project by nebez (https://github.com/nebez/floppyb...). We added some info specific to us and a Product Hunt leaderboard. Now just to beat my high score of 1...
@v4violetta thanks :)
Message me on Maker Hunt - we made some changes since you beta tested, so there could be some peculiar behaviour for you

Can't sign in because I'm not a maker (after getting all my permissions)?
Just because I'm not a "maker" on producthunt doesn't make me less of a maker :\
@angeladopter sorry about that - but Product Friends is a tool to see your influential upvoters... and if you're not a maker on PH, we can't get any upvoters to analyse.
As for getting all your permissions, not a great experience, so thanks for letting us know... we'll try to make it better (we could drop the Twitter permissions at that step, but would still need PH permissions to see if you've made anything). You could still play Flappy Bird against other PHers, if that's any consolation...
Yes! I was thinking of doing this exact same thing after I manually thanked a ton of people who upvoted @modivhq when we launched! So glad someone did this. And the Flappy Bird PH Leaderboard is amazing. Really well done guys!
@yousuffauzan the original reason we made it was so you can easily follow + tweet selected upvoters on launch day. This is more of a companion function now, but one we think is still useful.
What do you think?
@edmoyse I think the permissions are kind of scary. You can easily provide a link for users to tweet etc. However, I am not an active tweeter or any social network user so do ask others about it.
