Hey Product Hunt Community!! 🧑‍💻👩🏻‍💻 I'm Zain, Co-Founder of Shoten! We're excited to launch our first ever app on Product Hunt!! 👉 Why we created Project Ambience? 🧐 We made Project Ambience because we used to waste so much time trying to find the perfect background ambience mix to work to. Music with lyrics would distract me, and YouTube always sucked me into random videos. We wanted something simple—just calming nature sounds and also a Pomodoro timer to keep me on track. And I didn’t wanna open YouTube to do it! So, we built this app to cut out the noise (literally!) and make it easy to focus without opening other apps that can suck you into rabbit holes. 👉 What’s next? 👀 - Todo List in the side menu! Users can input their tasks for the day and have a mini hub inside Project Ambience before they get started with their day! - We’re planning to add more pre-made mixes with themes like Blade Runner, Cyberpunk, and Post-Apocalypse. - Add a ‘User Generated mixes’ section for users to upload their own ambience mix creations! 💻 Future AI Assistant: An AI assistant who can speak (voice based) to you and run you your through your tasks for the day and check in on you during your breaks between the Pomodoro sessions to see how your work sessions are going! : ) We’re hoping to integrate a natural spoken AI that speaks to you during your break sessions. Project Ambience is really cool. I purchased the addon immediately. To be honest, I never listened to ambient sounds before. I usually only listen to music when I am working. Thanks to Project Ambience, I'm now starting to like ambient sounds more because random music could be distracting sometimes. The app allows me to generate my own ambient sounds with a single prompt - awesome idea. I am also reminding myself to use the Pomodoro timer there. Thanks for making Project Ambience, @zain_shoten and @kisaragi_shoten! 🎉

We're currently adding in new features people in the comments are requesting! : ) - To-do Lists - Stats dashboard to monitor which mixes are the most productive for users (would be calculated by monitoring which mix allows users to finish the most tasks on the To-do list) - Spotify integration (in the near future!) - More pre-made Ambience mixes to choose from! - AI Assistant (in the near future!) - Ability to adjust audio intensity of the ambience! - Further tweaking the AI to be more accurate to create exactly what people are asking for, currently it's not perfect haha

I’ve been using it for a few days now and I love the fact that it works on my browser and there’s no ads! It can just play for as much as I need and that helps with focus. Great product 👍🏻

Deep work is extremely important to me & I like the way that it's possible to have a chosen experience to go alongside my regular work. 100% looking forward to giving it a go, although somewhat concerned that maybe the Thunderstorm setting will be my go-to work ambience.... I love the combination of background sounds and the Pomodoro timer. I suggest adding a statistic feature for Pomodoro timer, allowing me to easily see which background sounds help me collect more Pomodoros.

Ask any of my coworkers - I'm always listening to something while working 😅 I like that this gives ambient noise, but feel that adding other music options and allowing people to create their playlist vibe would be a welcome addition. Maybe even if there was a way to integrate a user's Spotify account or other streaming service to create the ambience. Excited to see how this evolves - good luck!
