Here's how it works:

"A simplified depiction of Indigo's image processing pipeline. The frontend (at left) aligns and merges a stream of raw frames flowing from the camera. The merged but still (nearly) raw image is optionally stored as an Adobe DNG (Digital Negative) file (red box at top). The look computed by our Adaptive Color Profile AI (green box) is stored in the DNG file alongside the pixels, but doesn't change them. The output of this AI also drives the backend (at right), which consists of tone mapping, sharpening, and color adjustments. These operations do change the pixel values. The modified pixels are compressed and stored in the JPEG file. The baking of adjustments into pixels is why editing a JPEG is always harder than editing a DNG."

Project Indigo looks fantastic! As someone aspiring to be a professional photographer who has consciously chosen not to invest heavily in camera gear just yet, I'm always on the lookout for tools that streamline creative workflows and enhance my output. This looks incredibly promising. Great work!

Absolutely thrilled to see Adobe bringing pro-level camera controls to the Iphone! The ability to shoot in RAW,access manual settings , and seamlessly integrate with Lightroom is exactly what mobile photographers need. This looks like a game-changer for mobile photography — love that it brings pro-level controls like multi-frame HDR, RAW support, and manual settings without forcing a sign-in or subscription wall. Adobe leaning into a free, no-login experience is unexpected but super refreshing.

Also, the seamless Lightroom integration is a huge win for creatives already in the Adobe ecosystem. Definitely excited to test how the super-resolution zoom performs in real-world shots.

Kudos to the team — Project Indigo feels like the perfect blend of power and simplicity.
