AI prompt engineering workbench for crafting, testing, and systematically evaluating prompts with powerful analysis tools. - insaaniManav/prompt-forge

Congratulations on the launch from the best of the web team

@nimaaksoy Hey Nima! Saw your background - love what you're building with BestofWeb.site!
Would be honored to be featured in your directory. Happy to provide any additional info you need about PromptForge.
Also curious about your other projects would love to connect
@insaanimanav Hi Manva, log in and submit your project. Also, check out our content automation tool inside the Dashboard. It is really good

@adhil_sha Thanks Man
The auto - generated test suites and dual analysis in PromptForge are total game - changers, bringing real engineering discipline to prompt crafting! For folks doing complex multi - step prompt chaining, how does PromptForge help manage and evaluate the interplay between different prompt segments to ensure cohesive results?
Olvy
@augustzhu Excellent question! You're thinking exactly like a prompt engineering expert!
Current state: PromptForge focuses on individual prompt optimization with systematic testing and AI-generated evaluations.
Multi-step prompt chaining: This is honestly where we're heading next! Currently you'd need to test each segment individually, but the vision is:
🔄 Chain-aware evaluation - testing how prompts flow together
🔗 Dependency mapping - understanding segment relationships
📊 End-to-end analytics - measuring overall chain performance
🎯 Chain-specific test suites - scenarios that test the full workflow
Since you're clearly doing complex chaining - what's your current approach? Manual testing of the full chain, or breaking it down segment by segment?
Your workflow insights would be incredibly valuable for building this feature right!
Thanks for the thoughtful question - this is exactly the advanced use case that drives our roadmap!
I found a similar product that is already in open beta testing, its name is GenumLab, they position themselves as a PromptFinOps platform. What's the difference? They also have multi-vendor support, audit capability, Canvas Chat. They also have full control over the prompt, its stability can be tested with test cases. I also noticed that you and them have AI Assertion. What are you better at and how can you compete with them?
Olvy
@alexjacobskyi Great question! You clearly know the space well!
Key differences - GenumLab focuses on enterprise FinOps (cost optimization), while PromptForge is built for developer productivity and systematic prompt engineering.
Our differentiators:
AI-powered prompt generation - don't just test, let AI help craft prompts from scratch
Developer-first experience - one-line Docker setup vs enterprise complexity
Open source - community-driven development and transparency
Systematic evaluation - automated test suites for robustness, safety, creativity
We're positioning as the "developer workbench" rather than enterprise platform. Think VS Code vs enterprise IDEs - different audiences, different needs!
Have you tried GenumLab? Would love to hear what features matter most in your workflow! Always building based on real user needs
@insaanimanav I have already tried GenumLab and this was magic! Most valuable thing is testcases, they also have them. You cant create many testcases and run them with AI Validation, that is very impressive. Also they have Canvas Chat, which is a dream! You only need to describe your problem or task and it will be do it with your prompt! Other important thing is - Memory Key. This additional context is very helpful. When you just need to add little piece to your prompt and do not overwrite it - that's it! In general, PromptForge and GenumLab are very similar, but for different lvl's of community
Amazing , great launch

@vedika_anand Thank you so much! The community response has been absolutely incredible - still can't believe we got here
Really appreciate the support!
This is awesome! Congrats on the launch and thanks for this.

@james_scott22 Thank you so much! Really appreciate the support!
Hope you get a chance to try it out - would love to hear what you think!

Congrats on launch! Brilliant solution to end prompt engineering trial-and-error chaos with systematic testing and analytics.
Olvy
@gin_6078 Thank you Gin! Really appreciate that!
"Trial-and-error chaos" is exactly how I described it to myself when building this! The systematic testing approach has been a total game-changer - especially the automated evaluation suites that test for robustness, safety, and consistency.
Are you working with prompts professionally? Would love to know what systematic approach resonates most with your workflow - the analytics side or the generation assistance?
Thanks for the support!
