PromptMetrics launches tomorrow, and I'm a mix of terrified and excited. First Product Hunt launch ever.
Quick backstory: I'm a software engineer based in Sweden and have spent 20+ years building products for other people. Watched European AI teams struggle with two things nobody was solving together: knowing what their AI actually costs per feature, and staying compliant with EU regulations without sacrificing tooling.
Most observability tools worth using send your data to the US. Every compliant option is bare bones. I got tired of hearing "just use Langfuse and hope for the best," so we started building.
My co-founder and I have been heads down since September. 5 months later, PromptMetrics is live EU-hosted LLM observability with real cost-per-feature analytics.
Building infrastructure as a small team in Europe is tough. No big VC backing, no 20-person team. Just two founders working with an outstanding, tiny team of developers, a lot of coffee, and the belief that EU companies deserve tools built for them.
If you're launching soon, too, I'd love to connect. And if you're running AI in production, I'd genuinely appreciate your feedback tomorrow.
See you on the other side
Hey Product Hunt! ๐
I built PromptMetrics because European AI teams face an impossible choice: use great observability tools and risk EU AI Act fines, or stay compliant and fly blind on costs.
So I built an LLM observability platform that's 100% hosted in Frankfurt. No data leaves the EU. Ever.
But compliance alone isn't enough. I kept hearing teams say, "We're spending thousands a month on AI but have no idea which features are actually worth it."
That's the real problem. So we built metadata tagging that lets you tag requests by feature, user tier, or experiment. Finally, see exactly which AI capabilities generate revenue and which ones are burning cash.
Here's what you get:
๐ช๐บ Full EU hosting (Frankfurt, AWS eu-central-1) - GDPR and AI Act ready
๐ Cost-per-feature analytics - know your unit economics per AI feature
โก 15-minute integration - drop-in Python and Node.js SDKs
๐จ Anomaly detection - catch runaway costs before they hurt
๐งช Statistically rigorous A/B testing - prove cheaper models maintain quality with real confidence intervals, not vibes
๐ Launch special: 60-day free Pro trial for Product Hunt. No credit card needed.
What's your biggest blind spot in AI spend right now? ๐
As someone who works with startups every day, I see a lot of tools trying to solve AI problems. PromptMetrics stands out because it tackles something most teams ignore until it's too late: understanding what your AI is actually doing in production. The EU compliance angle is smart too, especially with the AI Act rolling out. If you're running LLMs and not monitoring cost, quality, and compliance, you're flying blind. Great work Izzy ๐ช๐ฝ
Input-level risk scoring feels like a missing layer in current LLM stacks. Catching issues before execution is far more practical than downstream cleanup.
With the EU AI Act coming into force, many teams will struggle to demonstrate preventive controls. This seems aligned with what auditors will actually ask for.
-Focusing on EU-native hosting and compliance is a smart move that directly addresses a major headache for European companies building with AI.
