Today I’m super excited to launch ProShots to the Product Hunt community! It’s available for download on both iOS and Android.
ProShots uses AI to generate realistic headshots of yourself. Simply upload your photos, select the style and attire you're interested in, and ProShots will do the rest. You can then download your images in high-resolution.

Here’s how it works
1. 📱 No signup required!
Simply follow the onboarding flow and get started creating your headshots.
2. 🎨 Select a style that suits you
You can generate images based on different locations such as in the office, outdoors at the park, inside a cafe, etc, as well as select the attire and pose that you like.
3. 📸 Upload your photos
To ensure quality results, you'll need to upload a minimum of 20 photos of yourself, ensuring there are a variety of different photos that are well-light, taken from different angles and backgrounds, and clearly show your face.
4. 🖼️ Receive your headshots
It takes approximately 20 minutes to generate your headshots, and you’ll receive a push notification when they’re ready! From there you can download your images in high resolution to either share with your friends or use on your professional profile.
There have been many contenders, but ProShots does one thing and does it well — it generates svelte PFPs suitable for use on a number of platforms. Check it out — I used ProShots to produce my current avatar!
I also discovered that you can generate still images from a video file of yourself to create enough varied images to make the process smoother — and got an assist from ChatGPT!
Just run this command in terminal in the same folder as your .mp4 file (presuming you have FFMPEG installed):
ffmpeg -i input_video.mp4 -vf "select='mod(n,1500)', fps=1/10" out%d.jpg
You can tweak '1500' to a number that will produce more or less frames.
I ended up with a folder like this:
You'll still want to upload some variations of yourself, but this was a fast way to generate selfie variations.
I have various Android up to and including Samsung Galaxy Folds but I cannot get the app. I keep getting the "This app is not available for any of your devices" on the Play Store.
What am I missing?

Congrats on your accomplishment!! Seems like with your product you can get next-level headshots without having to use the service of a professional photographer. Waiting for the availability in Europe and wishing you the best of luck with the launch!

Would be nice to be able to have multiple profiles or full profile edit. Was so impressed with the results (hello profile pic) that I bought another 60 credits only to discover I couldn't change the gender to generate some for my partner. L
