Quiddo tracks pocket money and chores for families who don't want to give their kids a debit card. You keep paying the way you already do, with your own card or cash, and log it in the app. Kids open Quiddo on their own device to see their balance and savings goals. Pocket money goes out on a set day and can depend on chores getting done. $15 a year for the whole family, on iOS, Android and the web. Built by a Melbourne family with four kids.

Hi Product Hunters!
I'm Ben, a software developer from Melbourne, Australia. My wife and I have four kids, and pocket money had never really worked for us: we never had cash on us, the kids were saving up for things and losing track, and every app we tried wanted to give a seven-year-old a debit card.
So I built Quiddo! We still pay with our own card or cash and log it in the app, and the kids see their balance and savings goals on their own devices. If we're out at the shops and the kids want a treat, we can easily check if they have money available, and immediately log the spend.
A few things work differently from the other kids' money apps:
Jobs come in two kinds. Responsibilities are the everyday ones, like emptying the dishwasher or feeding the cats. They aren't paid, but if they don't get done, that week's pocket money waits until we decide whether to release it or hold some back. Paid jobs are extras, like washing the car, and pay out when we approve them. We split them because we didn't want the kids asking to be paid for brushing their teeth, but we did want them to be able to earn more.
Kids don't need a login. You scan a QR code once on their tablet or phone, and from then on it opens straight into their own view. No password for a seven-year-old to forget.
Co-parents join free. Both parents, or another carer, can approve jobs and pay out from their own phones, including across two households. One account can also run up to three families.
Coming very soon is a task calendar. You'll be able to switch jobs off for set days, like school holidays or the weeks the kids are at their other parent's house, so nobody gets marked down for jobs they couldn't do. Pocket money still goes out as normal. It can also sync with Google, Outlook or Apple calendars, so if the custody schedule or holiday plans already live in your calendar, the days off fill themselves in.
There's no card and no bank account attached to your child. If your kid needs to tap a card at the school canteen, Spriggy or a bank app will do that better than we can.
It runs on iOS, Android and the web, and costs $15 a year for the whole family, with a 14-day free trial. Code PRODUCTHUNT2026 takes 50% off your first year when you subscribe on the web, until the end of October.
Our kids have used every version, and a lot of the features exist because one of them complained about something.
We're launching on Hypership day, so I'll be building from your requests all day and replying here when things ship. What's the one thing that would make you switch from whatever you do for pocket money now?
Ben.
