I have been able to become independent by knowing that if I go to a music festival alone, there are people around me that are just like me. It has helped create friends that I call family to me from across the country, people of which I may never have met without this app and sharing our common love for music. I feel like this has helped me break through my shell and become the person I want to be wherever I go.

I downloaded radiate after hearing a friend talk about it on instagram. I downloaded it, created a profile, and was seeking out people who were attending a festival in Miami, someone I could meet when I flew in. My group wasnt going to get there until later. The interface is unique, I like the fact you can post to a forum on a specific event, or locally post. You have individual groups you can start, based on an artist you want to see at an event, or where you’re from, or what you do. It’s very diverse. Hey’s are unique, comparable to Tinder’s “like” and “superlike”. I’ve met so many people since downloading the app and I absolutely love it. Will continue to use it for shows and festivals to come.

Super cool way to make new friends in the festival community. I ran into SO many people at Movement that I chatted with on radiate first.
Pros:
Easy to navigate, organized by specific events.
Cons:
Can be difficult to connect with users unless you go through and “hey” everyone. Lag time causes messages to not come through in real time.
