A library of responsive and accessible UI components, meticulously crafted to align seamlessly with your app's design system. It is made on top of Radix UI, with Tailwind CSS and out-of-the-box support for SSR.
Hey Product Hunt!
Today is a BIG day for the rhinobase team and I'm ecstatic to be here. We've released our component lib, which we use in all of our products.
🔥 Our team has poured countless hours into crafting a versatile set of components that will supercharge your web and app development. From sleek UI elements to powerful functionality, we've got you covered. Come check it out, give us your feedback, and let's build amazing things together! 💪💻
We'd love to know what you think. So if you have any feedback for us, we would love to hear it!
@mathuraditya First off, kudos on the release. I know how crucial a good component lib can be. How customizable are these components in terms of design and adaptability?
@wintoniak Thank You! Our main focus while building Rafty was to use off-the-shelf components, which developers already love and use daily. And also flexibility, we have added a ton of functions to make it highly customizable. we will be soon adding a customization section in our docs where you can explore this in more detail.
If you have any suggestions do let us know, we will be happy to connect with you on our community discord server.
Love your product UI and component! Congratulations on your launch!
I like your component especially, chat UI and Charts.
Dark mode adjustable feature is amazing.
Are you guys planning to start paid plan or some extensions?
@kimihito_tanaka Thank you! Yes, we are indeed considering expanding our offerings. While we currently offer our product for free, we are exploring the possibility of introducing additional features and extensions to further enhance your experience. Rest assured, we'll keep our users in the loop and provide updates as we make progress on these exciting developments.
Hey, how is this different to ShadCN? Looks like the theming page is identical? Is there a comparison page that shows which components are unique to your project?
@kai_pradel That's a great question! First of all, ShadCN is not a component lib, it is a lib of components, semi-styled which you can copy and use. But when building large applications, we need design and styling consistency between multiple projects which can be problematic to manage in the long term. We believe that copy and pasting is not a great way to go, component libs can really simplify the process.
Because I would not prefer to rewrite and restyle my components again and again between different projects. Like, I would prefer a lib that can easily be used in my project, without my team and I having to do a lot of configurations to make it the way we like, and not adding bloat with a big context provider like in Chakra UI and MUI.
I do understand why you came to this conclusion, but we did have to walk the extra mile to create this because when your components are not correctly synced together in styling it can create problems like z-index issues between Drawer and Dialog components, and others.
And yes we have got the inspiration of the theming page from there, we have also mentioned it at the bottom of the page. Nice Idea regarding the comparison page, I will add that soon, It will help others also to compare with other component libs like Chakra and MUI.
Congratulations Team Rafty UI on your successful launch on Producthunt! Love the seamless integration your components offer with app design systems. I have a suggestion though, perhaps you can consider adding a feature that provides developers with pre-coded templates that can further reduce their coding time. Keep up the great work and looking forward to your future updates.
@manmohit Thanks! we are actually working on a gen AI which will help you build the template you want. We'll keep our users in the loop and provide updates as we make progress on these exciting developments.
Congratulations on the launch! I hold immense respect for developers who create UI libraries. Rafty, being based on radix-ui and tailwind, how does it compare in superiority to radix-theme or other libraries built on radix-ui?
@atsuki Thank You! That's a great question, Rafty basically aims to supercharge your app development process, by using off-the-shelf tools that you already love and use daily. So you can start building on day 1 in place of learning a new design system or tool for days. Rafty's here because we wanted to make a lib that fits easily in our stack and uses tools that are already used by millions in place of creating new ones. we have tons of options for customization and also a "barebone" prop which gives you the component without our styling so that you can easily build on top of it.
Give it a try and we hope you love it! If you have any suggestions, we will be happy to connect with you on our community discord server.
Congratulations!
The component is beautifully designed and also has good features such as integration with the React Hook Form!
I'm curious to see how customisable the components are.
@waka Thank you! We have thought a lot about customization and flexibility. we've introduced a "barebone" and an "un-styled" property across all of our components, allowing you to strip away all predefined styles and tailor the components to your exact specifications. If you have more ideas for improving the lib, do let us know in our community discord server.
