Just impossible to live without Raycast ! Before I was using LaunchBar for a few years but it did't evolve much. I tried Alfred but could not get used to it. Raycast is precisely made for those using shortcut everywhere. The newsletter is very helpful to see what's new and get hands on it.

When I started using VS Code, my most used feature was the command palette. I then started using macOS native spotlight more, but I was quickly disappointed by the lack of functionality. I searched for alternatives and tried things like Alfred that just look 🤮. That's when I discovered Raycast, it is so customizable and has so many extensions, you basically don't need to take your hands off the keyboard at all. Its so good trust me you will never use spotlight again.

Loving this Spotlight replacement mainly because of all the extensions and how they let the community bring their favorite tools to Raycast! Needed some software development knowledge to create extensions, but even if you're not actively creating extensions, you can always enjoy the ones from the entire community!

Love using Raycast as a spotlight replacement (and an alfred replacement). The shortcuts are great, the UI is super easy to use with keyboard shortcuts, and the Raycast team is really friendly and constantly building new extensions.

I don't know what I would do without Raycast. It has saved me literally thousands of hours. When Raycast wrapped was released, I wasn't surprised to see some of my stats. I had opened Raycast 3,179 times, performed 5,532 actions, and was inducted into the Raycast Community Hall of Fame. If you use Mac and don't have Raycast, what are you doing?
