Great idea and a great product! Is there an option to read the book with the books author?
Readever
@avloss yes!!! of course 😄 you can invite anyone into your readever reading group to join your reading journey... including the author (and even the author’s enemies + critics too...🤫🤫)
@yumgong I'd like to know why your celebrity AI can simulate celebrities. Is it based on celebrities' past public speeches?
Readever
@yumgong @xinyue_zhang3 Speech, articles, blogs, books. Basically we make a knowledge base for every persona that AI can refer to.
Readever
@avloss Yes! It's one of the favorate features of our users. The author persona can explain the deeper subtext of the book. For example, reading A Hundred Years of Solitude with Márquez where he explains all the plots and metaphors.

Congrats! Can users upload their own books, and does personalization still work with imported titles?
Readever
@lyss_luo Yes! User uploaded books work the same as imported titles!
Readever
@lyss_luo yes!!! you can upload any file you want to read 😄❤️ personalization still works with imported titles too, because it’s driven by your reading goal + what you highlight, ask, and note during the session.
From a product and AI perspective, how do you balance maintaining a consistent ‘persona voice’ while still adapting insights to different reading styles and genres?
Readever
@yevhenii_danilchuk That's a great question, our AI will pick the most suitable persona based on user's history and book genre. For example while reading business books it may invite Jobs and Musk, while reading economics it may invite Kaynes and Hayek.
Quick question though — is it possible to use an abstraction of a famous person’s voice here? And if so, how does that actually work, especially once monetization is involved?
Genuinely asking because voice + identity feels like a tricky area legally and ethically. Would love to understand how you’re thinking about this and where the boundaries are.
How does the system decide which concepts need explanation and which don’t?
Readever
@new_user___29620254ebb982204b9ba1f It learns from your reading history and our AI agent is fully context aware.
Congrats! The free Pro offer for early users + feedback is a nice touch. Going to test it and share thoughts.

Cool project — especially helpful for people with ADHD (it's me!) 🥲
I love the built-in translation and the ability to ask questions while reading. With ADHD I get distracted really fast: I google something or open ChatGPT and never come back to the book... This solves that problem really nicely.
