Hi Ioanna! thanks for your question! Yes usually we do refer someone we know as it's handy. However, in many cases, employees struggle to find someone to refer to the company, even in their network. This is why by using Refer me Please, even if they don't know the candidate, they can talk to each other on the platform and the employee can pre-screen the candidate, before submitting the application.
Also, current team members can be great at pointing out promising potential candidates because they know what their team wants and needs--in terms of personality, skill, etc. Often this role is restricted to a talent manager or recruiter, and this division of responsibilities that isn't always advantageous. This is a really cool idea!

@thekristikelly Thanks for the comment Kristi! Another advantage employees have over recruiters is first-hand knowledge of the interview process - what to say, how to prepare etc. They'll also have more knowledge of company culture and can assess if the candidate is a good culture fit :)

We've recovered from yesterday's insane traffic and are working perfectly! Ask us anything - we're always around!
Noboddy is using google+ anymore. Can I create profile with something else?
Report
@bogomep That's true, google+ isn't as popular anymore, but all you need is a google account (gmail, docs, google drive). You can also use your LinkedIn and Facebook profiles :)
@bogomep Google's API login is though G+, but linked to your Google account. You can login with LinkedIn or Facebook too on the website. I'm not sure why ABP would be a problem...Maybe try in incognito mode? Let us know if we can be of any help!
