remove bg is by far the best background removal tool currently available, however their turn towards needing to use ''credits'' to get the full quality of your image is sickening to say the least. if i put in a 1000x1000px image, it will (at most) give me 300x00px. an absolutely abysmal quality drop off that makes paying for the full quality of the image the only viable alternative to getting a useless husk of what it was

While you do need a credit to download an image of a larger size, you can always sign up for an account for one free credit! The service works ok, I guess? But so many other platforms (like Canva) now have background removal built in that it hardly seems worth it. Plus you have to keep logging in each time which is a pain. Also - trying to cancel is maddening until you realize the 'Cancel Subscription' font is size 6, medium grey, and barely visible unless you zoom in. Pretty scaly behavior whenever a company makes it deliberately hard for someone intent on canceling to be able to cancel.

Remove.bg is very good at what it does, but unfortunately the credit payment system isn't usable. Furthermore, the promise of not charging for low-resolution images doesn't work, and the credits disappear very quickly. For my purposes, the tool is really expensive.
