Review Render?
Reviewers describe Render as a straightforward hosting platform that gets apps from Git repo to production with very little setup. Users and founders alike repeatedly praise its simple deploys, smooth path from development to production, and ability to handle backends, static sites, workers, and managed databases without much infrastructure work. Makers of Prefactor, Honestly, and Compendium specifically highlight managed Postgres, easy hosting, and predictable deploys. Criticism is sparse, with one user offering only a measured, not glowing, endorsement.

As a non-developer working on learning to deploy an ElizaOS agent, I found Render to be amazing and it simply just works. I love the flexibility and ease of scaling up or down, and easily connecting projects to each other. It’s not the cheapest option out there but after trying with another provider (who I won’t name and shame) and not being able to even get my payment to process, and another that didn’t support Docker deployment or Node 23, this was a relief and victory for me to find Render. I don’t have any affiliation with them whatsoever.
We use Render to host our website – they make it super easy to get up and running. Prior to it, we had a bunch of Dockerfiles, random deploy scripts, and a whole lot of headaches. We had considered Vercel, but its serverless functions were too constraining for us. If you're a YC company, Render has some great deals!
Render has made deploying and managing our app infrastructure incredibly easy and efficient. Its platform offers a seamless experience, from automatic scaling to automatic deployments, without the complexity of traditional cloud services. We can focus on our code while Render handles the server management, uptime, and performance. The simplified pricing and integrations with databases, caching, and more make it a cost-effective and reliable choice for our backend infrastructure. It’s fast, reliable, and reduces the hassle of managing servers.
Probably the simplest PaaS on the market that I have tested.
I tested Virtuozzo, Heroku, AWS, ... but nothing satisfied me for a decent cost. Render ticks all the boxes.
The high availability, the security, the community and the low price convinced me to use it in production and I don't regret it.

When I was experimenting with product ideas and developing my MVP, Render was the fastest and most enjoyable way to get from point A to point B. They have added a lot of features since then!
The global CDN ensures fast load times, and the private networks provide added security. The best part? It's all automated from our Git repo. This is a must-have for any growing startup!

So far so good, easy to use and cost effective. Hosting several services so far and more on the way. It has a free static site hosting too, which has been incredible to deploy on
Render is a good choice for static apps and server backends. The services it provides aids seamless transitioning from development to production environment.
