This is such an incredible idea...really great way for teams to rethink the way they travel and build culture. It's a win-win for employees and companies in that companies save on hotel costs while creating a new income stream for employees. Beautiful UI/UX, easy to use, and Stephen is the man!
Fantastic concept that I and colleagues appreciate in practice. We're pretty fed up of staying in hotels, no matter how fancy. Feels better to spend time with family, friends or colleagues (and give them money!) when you travel. Takes the mundanity away from work travel and makes the journey socially positive
Interesting concept. Looking forward to see how the company gets more traction with its system. Keep it up.

@charlie_o_donoghue There are a few factors. The main ones are, we use any existing policies companies have. Often larger companies have set prices per city they conmanly travel too. We also then check the latest market prices for the date and location to make sure we are driving actual savings
I can see why this would take off, makes sense for all parties involved. We typically sell to HR teams & Talent Teams across Europe and they always want their people together for collaboration and culture, anything that helps the cost of that would be well received.
How does pricing work for full company roll out?

@stephen_mac_carthy Super question Stephen - we base the prices for this off market prices. We then consider that as 100% of the sunk cost. The company immediately saves 20% and both host and guest earn 35% each on Roamr for Friends.
When a company rolls out Roamr for Work to their whole org we change that company saving to 30%! They can then even set their own rate control rules based on the policies they use

This is such a smart way to make work travel less expensive and way more enjoyable! Staying with friends instead of hotels just makes sense. How does the payment work, does the company handle it directly, or do employees and hosts sort it out themselves?
