Trained on 200+ years of shark attack and marine weather data, SafeWaters.ai create 7 day attack risk forecasts at any beach. Assess your risk before entering the water. This is great for surfers, local authorities and beachgoers.
@lee_fischman Local coverage is something I've been working on. Travel groups is a good idea but I know many are not too fond of self-promoting. Do you recommend any ways to get around this?
@evanvalenti Maybe go to the groups, and find particular folk. The 'viral' route where they recommend you. You might just do a few FB ads that are targeted to beaches. You can experiment with the ones having the highest seasonal shark spottings x the number of visitors. Like Cape Cod.
@lee_fischman@evanvalenti Western Australia Department of Fisheries run SharkSmart, an app that combines geotag and sighting data, as well as other information to help people navigate their day. May be worth reaching out to them. I understand that they're always pretty keen to have someone come in and help with their data - they opened their shark hazard data and detection API up to participants of Govhack 2016, for example.
