Looks AMAZING!! :D Is there any way to import recipes from Paprika? They have some proprietary format and that's the only way to export recipes (other than PDF) as far as I'm aware. Paprika is OK but very outdated, photos are tiny and it generally doesn't offer a great experience.

@mysaffronapp @benawad97 how about a tutorial on your website? :D Actually, is it even that complicated? Is Saffron able to import any of the formats that Paprika can export, and if yes, which? That's all I need to know.

@mysaffronapp @anna_0x I haven't setup a system where you can bulk import on the website yet, but if you send me both formats .paprikarecipes and HTML I can add them to your account. I haven't tried importing from Paprika before and want to make sure both work.

Big fan of your work. I learnt a lot from your series. I just had a general question. Why the existing solutions in the world are not enough for a general user ? I meant use of Youtube or Google Docs or Fb ? Or any other such app.

@anuraag_gupta Compared to Google Docs: 1. you don't have to spend time formatting the recipes 2. you can import recipes from blogs instantly 3. you can search your own recipes faster 4. you can generate grocery lists from recipes 5. you can easily create a meal plan from your recipes

Hey Makers! I’m Ben. Together with the help of my mom Julie, we created Saffron, an app to build and share digital cookbooks. I’m the developer and she’s the designer as well as a passionate cook. It all began when my mom wanted a better way to organize and share her recipes with our family. Hey Ben, fan of your youtube channel! This was just what I was looking for. I have recipes scattered throughout Messenger, whatsapp, emails, and bookmarks and realized I needed to consolidate them. You picked the perfect time to release as well, cooking now more than ever because of the quarantine :) Maybe a pro feature for later could be scanning your emails / chat histories / bookmark exports for auto importing into Saffron.

you need to think about change an ingredient for another if is not possible to get it in the local store of your city. This is usual when people from one country try to make a recipe from another country.
