Hi Product Hunt community! 👋
I’m the maker of SalaryConvert (https://salaryconvert.com/).
Like many of you, I’ve often found myself needing to quickly calculate what an annual salary actually breaks down to per hour—or what an hourly rate looks like as an annual paycheck.
Whenever I searched for a simple salary or overtime calculator, I was constantly bombarded with heavy display ads, slow loading times, multi-page quizzes, and cluttered UIs.
I built SalaryConvert to solve this.
Key features:
• ⚡ Blazing Fast & Clean: Zero ad clutter, built for instant rendering.
• 📊 Comprehensive Breakdowns: Visual calculations for weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and yearly pay.
• ⏰ Overtime Calculator: Flexible tools supporting 1.5x (time-and-a-half) and 2.0x (double time) rules.
• 🔒 Privacy-first & 100% Free: No mandatory sign-ups, paywalls, or hidden tracking.
I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or feature requests! How do you currently calculate or negotiate your rates?
Thanks for checking it out! 🚀

honestly super useful, been needing something like this. one thing that would help a lot is showing the breakdown after taxes too, like the net hourly rate after federal and state deductions. most people want to know what they actually take home, not just the gross number.

@sercankara68863 Honestly, couldn't agree more! The difference between "on paper salary" and "what actually hits the bank account" is where the real story is.
I’m currently researching accurate state/federal tax bracket algorithms to integrate this seamlessly without cluttering the clean UI. Stay tuned—it's coming in the next build!
Thanks a ton for checking it out and leaving such useful feedback! 🙌

Would love to see a tax bracket toggle so I can see pre-tax vs post-tax hourly rates side by side, that would honestly make it way more useful for budgeting and comparing offers.

@rojin9196 Spot on! Comparing pre-tax vs. post-tax side by side is definitely the ultimate goal when evaluating job offers or budgeting.
Quick question while I’m designing this feature: Would you prefer seeing a simplified state/federal tax estimate toggle, or a detailed breakdown (Federal, State, FICA, etc.)?
Thanks a ton for checking out SalaryConvert and dropping such a valuable suggestion! 🙌
