Forever preserve your favorite family, generational dishes or just hoard what's already online. Either upload an image of the printed/handwritten recipe, offer a website to drag it from or simply type it in, we'll take care of the rest. Easily share with a link, making your recipes public/private, obtain like-minded followers and follow-back. Organize into recipe collections (cookbooks) and even print it (yes, some still want a printed copy). Enjoy your recipes anywhere.

First off, thanks for taking the time to review my latest site launch - The Tasty Pea!
A bit of a personal backstory...
I come from a family of great cooks with unique recipes and recipes that just plain 'hit', and I too have generational recipes I've handwritten onto small cards - with notes in the margin (and, yes stains from the many times making them - it's what signifies a great recipe in a cookbook). Having ~200+ recipes spanning 3 cookbooks (or [ahem] collections of papers, jotted notes, etc.) spanning 28y of marriage, 3 kids and several family gatherings, it makes it difficult to find a recipe.
In November 2025, after taking 25 minutes to find a specific family recipe not made in a few years, I was so frustrated I postponed making it for another day.
In late November 2025, what started out as a can AI handle this task of scanning recipes and converting them to digitized bits - turned into a fun experiment and a production-ready website (~5 weeks later) where my family and friends are now turning to and preserve and equally share their recipes with the family and others.
These handwritten recipes looked rough! Even the most dingy/scribbled messes and turn it into a well formatted and structured recipe online - complete w/ categories, pulling out ingredients. I added some fun and added emojis for quick identification.
There are ridiculous features that I built for person use and re-use:
Socialization of recipes (sharing links, allowing 'followers/following' of cooks)
Shopping made easy (consolidate by aisle, combined ingredients, etc.)
Emojis to assist for quick and fun identification along the way
Cookbook creation, modifications, preserve recipe collections
Sharing of cookbooks to followers, public - or just plain keep private
... and much more :).
THIS is the reason I launched The Tasty Pea.
I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do.
As always user experiences and feedback welcome :).
