I recently signed up for DataFuel, drawn in by their promise of “20 URL scrapes free” to extract data from websites. However, after completing the signup process, I was immediately prompted to upgrade to a paid plan with no option for a free trial. This left me feeling uncertain about the service’s effectiveness—how can anyone evaluate a product without first having the opportunity to test it?
It seems misleading to advertise a free scraping feature upfront, only to have it become inaccessible post-signup. For potential users, this creates a barrier to trust, as you can’t verify whether the tool performs as promised before committing financially. DataFuel might need to consider offering an actual free trial period or at least clarify their process to ensure that users know exactly what to expect.
Overall, while the idea behind DataFuel is promising, the current model of restricting access until you upgrade makes it hard to take the service seriously without a trial run. Transparency and a genuine free trial option would go a long way in building user confidence.

I keep getting charged $29 monthly for datafuel.dev via Link Stripe and when I try to login to your website to cancel subscription it crashes out. I have paid upwards of $120 and even tried emailing your team contact on Link at sacha@datafuel.dev can you help me resolve this or is this all one big scam?
