Screenwise locks your child’s device until they solve multiplication questions to earn screen time. They master times tables naturally, without arguments or stress. It feels like a game, but they’re learning without even noticing. Each correct answer earns 1 to 5 minutes. Wrong answers subtract 1 minute. The more they learn the more they can play. I built it for my son. Now he’s fluent in 1 to 12 times tables and earns his 2 hour daily limit in minutes. Next step: harder levels and algebra.

What inspired me to build Screenwise was concern about my child’s phone use. I saw how easily he could spend hours playing while educational apps remained untouched, and the constant reminders to practise maths created tension. I started thinking, instead of fighting screen time, why not connect learning directly to it? Screenwise solves the daily conflict between entertainment and education by making maths practice the natural gateway to screen time.
