Your daily screen time becomes a score you post to friends. Posting keeps your streak alive, the leaderboard crowns whoever scrolls least, and app limits are built in. Blocking alone never stuck for us. Friends watching did. Free on iOS.

Hey Product Hunt π I'm Phil, and I built Scrollscore because I couldn't put my own phone down.
I tried every screen-time blocker out there. None of them stuck β I'd set a limit at 9am and tap right past it by lunch. Willpower runs out, and a wall you can ignore was never going to beat a feed built to keep you scrolling.
The one thing that actually moved my number was simple: one friend being able to see it. Suddenly I didn't want to be the one who went up.
So that's Scrollscore β Strava for screen time. π² Your daily total becomes a score you post, and your friends see it. Posting every day keeps your streak alive β honesty is the habit, the hours follow. The weekly leaderboard is where the competition lives: lowest number wins. And it still has app limits and blocking like everything else β the difference is the people on the other side that make those limits actually hold.
We've been building since the spring with a small group of beta testers. My own first full week on the app was 52 hours of screen time β a good week now is around 30. That's nearly a full day back, every week.
It's live and free on the App Store, and today it's live right here. One thing I'd genuinely love your read on: does competing with friends on a lower number motivate you, or stress you out?
Scroll less. Score more.
Tried it for a few days and the posting mechanic actually made me think twice before opening Instagram. The leaderboard idea is fun, though I wish the limits were a bit more customizable.
@demet75124Β thinking twice before opening Instagram is the exact moment the whole app is built around. I'd be happy to make the limits feature more customizable. What would you like added?
I appreciate your feedback!
small update: Detox Mode just went live πΏ pick the apps you need a break from β 7, 14, or 30 days β and they're fully blocked, with a Day X of Y counter your friends can see on your posts. taking a day off never resets you to zero. free for everyone. thanks for all the feedback yesterday, this one was already in review while we launched.
