SELF Phone: The AI Phone That Pays You to Compute

We built SELF Phone because smartphones have become powerful, but they still mostly consume our attention, data, and money. We wanted to create a device that could actually work for its owner. SELF Phone runs SELF OS, supports personal AI agents, connects to the Resonatia mesh, and can earn ESSENCE when it contributes to AI inference. It also brings together privacy protection, local and cloud AI, open development, and global communication in one device. The idea evolved from building AI software into a larger question: what should a truly personal computer look like in the age of AI? This is our First Wave Edition, and we’d love feedback from developers, builders, and anyone thinking about the future of personal computing.
