@andymci Is it only available for Wordpress? I have a custom website this would be super useful for. I signed up for the beta you can see my info there.

When I signed up for beta access, there was a check box for using Sidekick on a non-WordPress site.
@desisaran We're starting with WordPress -- it's a platform we know and love -- but the tech works on any website. (Sidekick powers the interactive tutorials on WP Engine's user dashboard, which isn't a WordPress environment at all, despite them being a managed WP host.)

@jpatil I check that off too, I'm just wondering if you will have to custom integrate it for a non - wordpress website
@rrhoover Thanks Ryan! I agree. We're still in the early stages of product development, but the potential is spectacular (in my humble opinion). I've built company knowledge bases and intranets in the past, and I could definitely see how Sidekick would tie into that experience. Especially in organizations where software training is constant.
@nelsonjoyce Thanks Nelson. :) We've also got captioning on the way (coming with our Composer beta: http://www.sidekick.pro/plans/). It's a wonderful feeling to get into an immersive "flow" when following a walkthrough, seeing/reading/hearing all at the same time.

This is awesome! We were actually in the process of laying out how we were going to build a lot of FTUX type experiences in the product similar to this. This will save us a lot of time and give us the flexibility to change things on the fly without messing with code in the product.
@jpatil Glad to hear it! One of my favourite things about Sidekick is the ability to quickly iterate on user training without touching the underlying software. (Especially true with the Composer authoring tool.) That's what I'm doing right now for all of our WordPress 4.0 walkthroughs. :)
This is fantastic. It would be very useful to be able to request professional voice-overs like the one in the demo. Let me type the instructions then pay a one-time premium to get it all rendered into narration.

Gotta say that the experience was a bit annoying.
First of all, the woman started talking and really freaked me out. no kidding. The first thing I wanted to do is close the damn thing and just send an email.
Second: her instructions were too obvious (click here to send us an email... duh) so I guess you must know who your audience is and give 'em the proper solution (in that case, semi technical ppl, so no need to talk to me like a 5 year old)
I know that you're doing a trial with wpengine - hope my feedback helped a bit.
