I'm not an anxious flyer myself, but so many people are (my wife used to have quite a lot of that anxiety). THANK YOU for doing this for all those people.
And I'm happy to see in the FAQ that your Android version will be released soon.
I wanted to try this app. Downloaded it a few days ago to try on my next flight in a couple of weeks. Unfortunately the app (iOS) keeps nagging me with daily notifications. That may cause some people to uninstall before even trying it. I turned off all notifications for the app.
@jsbotto Do you work or live near an airport? Or is it on the way to your office? SkyGuru reminds about itself when you are at or near an airport. Anyway we are going to tune the notifications events. Thank you!

Can I use SkyGuru on the ground? Can u walk us through the user experience?
@makarosha Sure . Users can enter their flight number, date and departure time in SkyGuru few hours before takeoff. SkyGuru then starts to monitor the flight, gets to know the user and offers some preliminary hints, such as an explanation of what it is capable of helping with and suggestions for where it is best to place the phone when onboard.
Around half hour before a flight , SkyGuru clues users in regards to weather, how it may affect their flight, and other things passengers should be expecting when the flight takes off.
Once inside the cabin, users place the phone where instructed and activate airplane mode for the remainder of the flight. SkyGuru can operate in this mode because it has already created its map as a mathematical flight model based on previous flights and current weather conditions.
The app can now predict where turbulence and ice accumulation area should be expected, how powerful and in what direction wind will be blowing, and the presence of other relevant meteorological phenomena. All is explained in a plain language.
It sends to user regular messages during the flight. Some of them are explanations of currently experienced feelings, sensations, sounds or movements. Others - aviation education, where general knowledge about the aviation world is provided. SkyGuru also has an entertaining function, as it comments about what we are overflying at the moment and even tells interesting facts about overflown cities and sites. Enjoy )
