This thing has blossomed from a side project into the main project. This team has worked on bringing more mobile through desktop and work their way back!
@Alex - thanks for the feedback (and for the twitter conversation). Adam and I split up answers so we could respond faster.
* Re: bulk pinning, we'd also like to improve how linking to Google Hangouts affects your contacts list. Your feedback on a bulk "unpin" has been taken.
* Re: Shuffling conversations: for conversations with open windows, you can cmd ~ through them on Mac. There's also an additional shortcut key for the menu - cmd ' ....which brings up the Skynet menu. You can just start typing and it will jump to the corresponding contact name/email matches.
cmd ' and cmd ; are both *global os shortcuts* and work from any app. My workflow is usually:
1. copy something to your clipboard (a url, a file, etc)
2. hit cmd ; to open the composer
3. paste (the thing you want to send) into the composer
4. type in a contact name
5. hit enter to send

Love the fast 1:1 video integration using gotomeeting. Why did you decide to use gotomeeting?
@kaz We wanted to experiment with actions that integrate with existing web services that people were already using (not just p2p stuff like file sharing & screenshots).
We were big fans of their previous incarnation (hu.tt) ... it was the only Web RTC-based video chat that "just worked" for a long time. Once they relaunched it under the gotomeeting brand, and it seemed like something that they'd continue to support, we couldn't resist.
@zsims Our current users end up depending pretty heavily on Hangouts integration to avoid missing messages while on the go. This definitely only a stop gap solution as (unfortunately) not all Skynet features are available to Hangouts users.
The genesis of Skynet was based on our experiences building mobile software. We're especially excited about reducing the number of places people NEED to go to communicate (SMS, email, phone calls, 1000 different messengers, etc.) and helping people find each other from within various mobile apps.
There's a big trend in mobile that puts a little slice of conversation in every app. We're psyched to flip that around and embed a slice of each app into the conversation.
@cindywu Not right now.
Messages integration was something that product hunters asked us about frequently yesterday (via direct messages in Skynet). Consider your question here to be another upvote for it!
Thanks;)
