flipping the data entry onto everyone instead of one HR person filling out a spreadsheet is the smart part. one DM, one question, and the chart just accretes instead of someone chasing people down in a doc that's already stale by the time it's finished. it also answers questions instead of just sitting there as a static chart, which is the part a plain org chart tool never does

Hey Product Hunt 👋
Ok, so I built a Slack AI agent that does one very specific thing: owns the Org Chart. That means it can create it, update it, flag things on it, and answer about it to anyone who asks.
If you work in a large enough company that you don't know any new hire right away, you know the problem. And if, by some wild coincidence, you are an HR person (welcome to Product Hunt, btw!) dealing with "how do I get all these people to stop asking me about the org chart???," right now... well, you're welcome! 😇
In all seriousness, I hope you find it useful.
Any feedback, especially on use cases I haven't covered, is highly appreciated. 🙏
Thanks!
@stefanszakal not using slack, but looks cool. congrats

@vladstan thanks man!
the who do you report to question works on day one. month six is what i'd worry abt, does snitch re-ask when someone moves teams or does the chart drift
Snitch
@niveditha_patluri1 Snitch verifies each night if something changed in any of the user details, so if there is a drift, it will verify it. But, to your point specifically, it does not re-ask everybody. It's a good idea to do some regular checkins, or at least have an option for one. Will add it to the backlog :) Thanks!
I'm wondering how much setup is needed before it starts giving useful answers. If it's really just one question in Slack, that's pretty nice.

@paisley_coleman it really depends on your team size. But the moment is launched, and people start answering, you start getting real data. Usually, doing a warm intro by the admin does the trick and then inviting Snitch to #general.
Plus, it's really just one simple question: who do you report to? Hopefully that won't trip up anybody :))
This tool was exactly what I needed for the organization chart! Simple, easy and fun to use. Good job!

@orzmar let's gooo!

Wow, this is insane! #8?! Thank you Product Hunt community so much! 😭😭
What I take away from this experience is that we're on the right track and the problem resonates with people. Also, that adding some soul and personality to any product is no longer optional. We should stop playing it safe and go the logical route when it comes to branding and positioning - it's way too crowded in the safe middle.
Thank you! 🙏
Pretty clever way to do it! I like it. Assigning Snitch to investigate and prompt the users instead of the other way. Congrats on the launch!

@kinduff thanks man! Yeah, who better to know your boss is, if not you :)
