Solar lets small teams collaborate with AI agents to build and deploy production apps in minutes. Like Figma, but no mockups — just real software with live data and backend functionality, built by our full-stack AI agent, powered by your imagination.

Solar
Hey Product Hunt makers! 👋
I'm John, CTO at Lumenary. Today, we’re so excited to launch Solar: an infinite canvas for vibe-coding production apps.
My co-founders—Vivek Hazari, Daniel DiPietro, and Ziray Hao—and I built Solar during Y Combinator after living in a hospital for nearly two months.
What began as an internal tool to help healthcare executives improve care delivery with AI has evolved into a platform that domain experts across industries use daily.
During our first beta, teams built things we didn't think were possible, including:
📈 Trading bot armies that execute complex market strategies on the stock market.
https://stocks.by.solar - deep-learning training environment.
🛰️ Graduate thesis research papers implemented end-to-end in minutes.
https://analysis.by.solar - satellite imagery analysis.
🎮 Full multiplayer game engines from scratch.
https://craft.by.solar - you already know.
We're watching founders build internal products (not just tools) that would've been entire startups five years ago.
We can’t wait to see what you build! ⭐️

@john_mccambridge3 could I speak to someone about the stocks app? How it was built and how its meant to work? I'm working on something similar.
@john_mccambridge3 where is the video tutorial. At least we could see how this works. Who gonna give their credentials without seeing your product. Add a video building an app.
@john_mccambridge3 would like to connect regarding care delivery using AI.

This is so fricking impressive! Solar built a full-stack staff planning tool: with bill profiles, projects, et al, in one fell swoop. It was so interesting to see it pop open a todo.md file, and start to build. I was also impressed that it had both server and frontend logs, so it really just fixed things before I even saw any errors.
You guys have built a productivity tool that feels like a game. Great work
Solar
@stepan_parunashvili1 🤯 Stepan, this is amazing! @ziray check this out ^
@stepan_parunashvili1 Funny fact for nerds like us 🤓 — our codebase architecture follows video game patterns, things on the canvas can interact with each other like game mechanics.
minimalist phone: creating folders
Straight from the very beginning of the website: "Get Sh*t Done with AI." 😀
I didn't know that I could expect the whole workflow when it generates the desired solution.
I am pretty curious what I will get.
@busmark_w_nika
We love seeing what gets done on Solar 😎
As Solar is a new platform with its own infrastructure and development environment, how are you addressing concerns about platform lock-in and ensuring that users will have the flexibility to migrate their projects or integrate with other tools as Solar evolves?
Solar
@vouchy Solar's an open platform and you can download your entire repo at any time - all of us are developers and hate lock in, so all code and assets are easily exportable.

I've tried all the vibe coding apps and I just LOVE the approach you took with this one. Have been using it all day -- really dig the UX and haven't had any errors (can't say that about a lot of the vibe IDEs). Well done.
Solar
@dannygreer Danny this made my week 😀!! - we've got some crazy things planned to roll out soon (for all of you who signed up, you'll be the first) - so excited to see what you can build, reach out anytime and I'm available 24/7 to debug, discuss and help with literally anything - onwards! 🫡

@john_mccambridge3 things seem to have really slowed down with processing after running with it for a few hours. the last (pretty simple) request took 10 minutes and ate up a bunch of credits. are there best practices i should be using to ensure that it runs quickly?
Solar
@dannygreerwe're experiencing a ton of traffic at the moment, but we're in touch with our partners to scale up our rate limits! should be temporary but I'll drop a note here once it's been resolved - so sorry about this!
Bubbles
Nice product! How do you deal with interaction and business logic e.g. to implement infinite scroll behavior etc?
Great idea and something I have been waiting for, like desert waiting for rain. Hope this will work out for you. Some questions:
What programming language does the AI build on?
Do you support next.js and node.js
What LLM models are you using?
What database type is allowed on the platform?
How does the credit system works?
Please share details about the Custom Enterprise plan.
@andy_tran15 Great questions!
Programming languages:
We're one of the only vibe coding platforms to generate in Python. This unlocks a big ecosystem: OpenCV, PyTorch, Huggingface models, Pandas, etc.
We've built data-intensive, ML-heavy, image & CV applications on Solar (all vibe coded).
LLM models
Our agent system uses a few models: Claude 4, Gemini 2.5 Pro, and various GPTs.
Supported database
We use Postgres for your apps, but you can "bring your own SQL database" with just a connection string.
Some people use Solar to vibe code apps on top of their existing databases.
Credits
Credits are measured based on how many steps the agent takes.
Small changes = low credits, but you can also ask the agent to work for an hour to get a masterpiece output.
Custom enterprise plan
We'd be happy to jump on a call with you to discuss in more detail!
