A few months ago, I watched a friend scroll through Reddit for hours, trying to figure out if it was safe to walk alone in her Airbnb’s neighborhood in a city. There were hundreds of answers, but they were all scattered on different posts and subreddits. Some of them are from men who had no idea what it really feels like to be a woman alone in an unfamiliar city at night. That’s when I started searching for safety platforms. No one’s solving the actual safety concerns women travelers face on the ground. After some more research, I stumbled upon this app idea by Greg Isenberg on his www.ideabrowser.com. Solo Travel Safety (STS) is my answer to that. It’s a travel safety platform made for solo women travelers.
