This looks like what Uber should have been and was originally (in Aust) laid out to be -share riding - but turned out to be an alternate to taxis and no cheaper in my part of the world- BRING IT ON - and not just in cities!

Awesome product! This idea is likely outside the scope of the product, but I’d love the ability to open it up to those beyond my social circles, such as to those in my neighborhood. I live in Chicago and have long wished for the ability to identify those going from my neighborhood to the financial district downtown. Would also be great if I could set a carpool price and could process the transaction in the app. This would be nice functionality for coworker carpooling as well, so we don’t have to mess with Venmo and the like.

@stepheninoue carpool is just one piece of the puzzle. We see it as a one stop mobility shop--carpool if its the right option for you, or bike or cab...get to wherever you need to go in the most convenient way possible (alone or with friends--keeping it social is good for the environment!)
