I’m really excited to share SongOwl with you. SongOwl is an app for iOS that offers a new approach to browsing your Apple Music library. Every view can be grouped and sorted in over 100 different ways. And unlike other music browsers, navigation in SongOwl is non-linear and totally customizable. That means instead of being locked to set browsing patterns like Artist > Album > Song, you can create whatever “paths” you like! Nothing else comes close to this level of configurability.
Here’s some other features:
• Seed paths with a specific collection (like an artist, or genre) to transform it into a “mini-library.”
• Playlists work this way 👆 by default!
• ⭐️ a view, and it becomes instantly accessible in the Favorites tab. Obsessing has never been so efficient.
• Preview songs without interrupting your current playback queue.

Longtime Cs Music user here. I’m not sure whether SongOwl is for me since I almost use Cs completely for nostalgia purposes. Will you keep updating Cs or gradually replace it with this app?
@platyhsu this one started as a Cs updated, but it is definitively not a replacement. Cs will continue to be supported, but the emphasis will be mainly on performance, stability and preserving the existing feature set.

Mike I think the interface is excellent. I'm not sure I understand the paths feature and would like some advice. The one issue I do have is that Song Owl is doing what the Apple Music used to do - losing where I am and defaulting back to the library view either during the day, or by the following morning. CS Music generally didn't do this. Is it possible to rearrange the tabs at the bottom of the screen so that playlists come before library?

I have been using it in Test-Flight and the app is mega stable and also the author has responded very quickly each time. The App itself has become my favourite way of playing Music on the iPhone now - and is so much nicer than what Apple have ended up doing to the Music App (although Music App is still required for SongOwl to perform).
I use the app mainly in my car, and the swiping feature is great (previous / next track)
