SPOT Park

@desisaran I've seen this idea invalidated on the supply side at Lean Startup Machine workshops before (e.g. don't want space to be blocked, $ not worth potential inconvenience). Any thoughts on how they plan to overcome this?

I studied this space for quite a while back in the day. @braden_spot, how do you plan to differentiate from www.parkingpanda.com, www.spothero.com, www.parkwhiz.com, and/or www.parkatmyhouse.com?

Great response @braden_spot! Super interesting. How do you come to a total addressable market if you're going after spots that are not currently being monetized (driveways, private spots, etc.)?

@mark__a nice to meet you here, I've heard a lot about you! I have seen this idea invalidated many times too, it's always pitched in LSM NYC! I think the hardest part is building enough on the supply side or parking spots which would make the app valuable for users.

@mark__a, to briefly delve into some specifics on the supply side...luckily we have a good amount of relationships with landlords who have hundreds of SPOTs in and around Boston. You are absolutely right, the most difficult part of this concept is building up enough supply to meet the obvious existing demand. We are currently 110% focused on building up the inventory to a level we feel comfortable with before going 'live to the masses.' We just went into our Soft Beta Launch last week.
