I love how they have a separate tags box when you write a note and the tags as folders is great too. What I hate is you can't colour your text or add a highlight colour. Also, the free option is very limited and the paid option is very expensive. And there is no free trial available.
Also, there is no quick note function. I need either a global keyboard shortcut (Mac) or a menubar icon where I can quickly add a new note from anywhere on my computer

YoGrow
A worthy alternative to OneNote (slow start up, freezes and glitches, too bloated), Evernote (can fall down out of wifi area), Bear (Markdown lacks rendered view).
Pros:Well thought out, good UI, solid in operation. Focus on notes essentials to maintain speed and reliability. Developer communicates.
Cons:Subscription needed for full feature set BUT it is fully cross platform
Renewed my yearly subscription with no doubt. In fact, my love for SN is even more now with FileSafe!
Pros:The security; the ability to view version history; multi-platforms (so important for a user like me who use iOS, Android, Windows!)
Cons:Nothing to complain, it's almost perfect!
I use this throughout the day to save thoughts and write notes on both my phone and laptop. It's become an essential part of my daily routine. It's been useful in both school and work. I haven't had a problem with it in the 2+ years I've been using it.
Pros:Easy to use, organized, cross platform, and secure.
Cons:None that I can think of.
Ultimate Brain for Notion
SN is one of the best notetaking apps. It's good at most things, but excels at privacy. Very powerful writing experience, but no PDF handling, no web clipper and complicated and basic file uploading. Everything needs to be hosted in a separate service like Dropbox
Pros:- Sleek interface - Privacy focused - Philosophically right - Wonderful community
Cons:- No spellcheck - Not recommended to non-techy users - Steep monthly subscription price - Mobile version lacks functionality
