Over a thousand Statable issues live in Linear, and every commit in our frontend and backend carries one of their IDs. What made it stick is that it stays out of the way: fast, keyboard-first, no ceremony. Since Linear shipped its MCP server, our agents read and update the same issues we do, so the tracker is finally part of the workflow instead of a place we report to afterwards.

Every screen of Statable started as a Figma frame: the dashboard, the funnels, the embeddable widgets, and the images on this launch page. Our designer Andy(@andyrvua) lives in it and the rest of us build from his frames, so "does it match the frame?" is our entire design review. We tried nothing else because nothing else was needed: one file, one source of truth, and developers pick components straight from it.

The whole of statable.com is one Next.js app: the marketing site, the dashboard, the public share pages, the OAuth consent screen our MCP server sends agents to, even /llms.txt and /pricing.json. We sell analytics that AI agents can use, and Next.js is why the website keeps that promise: pricing and share dashboards render on the server, so an agent that never runs JavaScript sees the same numbers a human does. A separate static site plus a SPA would have meant two codebases for one product.

Statable ships analytics that an AI agent can run end to end, and Claude Code is where we proved it: it was the first client of our MCP server, and it is the one we test every tool against. Ten of our repositories carry a CLAUDE.md, and a good share of the product was built with it in the loop. Compared with chat-in-a-sidebar tools, it works in the repo, runs the tests and reads the analytics through MCP, which is exactly the loop we built Statable for.
