Hey Product Hunt! I built Statently because turning bank-statement PDFs into spreadsheets is one of those boring tasks that somehow still takes far too long—especially when copy-paste breaks columns, drops signs, or the statement is scanned.
Upload a bank or credit-card statement PDF and Statently produces a CSV with dates, cleaned descriptions, signed amounts, categories, and a running balance where available. It works with scanned PDFs too.
A couple of deliberate choices: there’s no account required, you get 3 free conversions, and pricing after that is a one-time credit pack rather than a subscription. Uploaded statements are processed in memory and aren’t stored.
I’ve also added a fictional sample output so you can see the CSV format before trying it. I’d love feedback on unusual statement layouts, accounting-tool imports, and anything that would make this more useful for real bookkeeping workflows.

finally something that handles scanned statements without me wanting to throw my laptop. the running balances actually matched up which is honestly more than i expected

The OCR handling for scanned PDFs is impressive, especially getting the running balances and signed amounts to line up cleanly across hundreds of transactions. That's the kind of plumbing work most tools skip over.

The scanned PDF support actually worked on a gnarly old statement I had lying around, which surprised me. Signed amounts and category labels saved me the usual spreadsheet cleanup grind.
