My memory is useless. I forget what I have and where. Particularly in my storage unit and attic. I tried a few existing inventory apps but had 2 main problems:
1. They are designed for businesses and the consumer version is way too complicated and overbearing.
2. Legacy consumer focused inventory apps were not visually led and lacked basic features.
I decided to build something I would find useful. Something where you create a place, and then can easily add items. Take a photo, give it a name and that's it.
I then decided to add smart tags to create collections so you could search and filter by location and category.
We have now added QR code functionality and household accounts as we try to build something feature rich that remains easy to use.
