Last summer I started working out more and was looking for a simple iPhone app that can quickly tell me how much I moved this week, this month, this year... No manual logging, rep counts, social sharing, etc., only stats and charts for my Apple Health data.
I guess Apple's Fitness app is supposed to do that, but it's cluttered and a lot of the data is hidden in detail screens three levels deep. I tried a couple of the gazillion fitness apps out there, but nothing hit right – too complex, too cluttered, too many metrics I don't care about.
That's why I started hacking together Streakout in January.
It's by design clean and minimal. The idea is to open it and get an overview of your fitness game in a few seconds. If you want to dig deeper, you can open some details. There's no signup, no subscription, no ads, no data sharing, no social feeds, no noise. Only a couple charts with the core stats.
Initial feedback from ~80 beta testers was very positive, but battling the algorithm and getting initial traction in the App Store seems quite hard these days. Would therefore deeply appreciate some feedback, downloads, ratings, reviews, and good vibes to get this project off the ground 🙏🏽
