StreamStash is a self-hosted social media archiver for TikTok, Instagram, Twitter/X, Telegram, Reddit, Snapchat, Xenforo forums and web albums. Auto-records TikTok lives 24/7, AI-powered semantic search ("wearing a red dress"), perceptual hash deduplication, and Discord webhooks - running entirely on your own hardware. One-time payment, free tier available.

Hey Product Hunt!
I built StreamStash because I was tired of juggling numerous different tools just to archive content from the platforms I actually used. yt-dlp for one thing, gallery-dl for another, manual scripts for TikTok lives, etc, and a growing pile of duplicate files because nothing talked to each other.
I wanted one dashboard that handled everything, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter/X, Telegram, Reddit, Snapchat, forums, web albums, and ran entirely on my own machine. No cloud, no third-party accounts, no subscriptions. So I built it.
Some of the features I'm most proud of:
• Automatic TikTok live recording - add creators to a monitor list and it catches their streams 24/7, even while you sleep
• AI-powered semantic search - search by description like "at the beach" or "playing guitar" and it finds matching videos across your archive
• Perceptual hash deduplication - detects visually identical content even if re-encoded or cropped
• Hardware-accelerated H265 compression via NVENC
It's a one-time payment, not a subscription. Free tier is genuinely usable (TikTok + Twitter, real features, not a crippled trial). Personal (£20) and Power (£40) unlock more platforms and features like the AI search.
It's Windows only for now - Mac and Linux are on the roadmap. I've been building it solo over the past year, with it running on my own PC 24/7 catching things I'd otherwise have missed entirely.
Would love your honest feedback. What features would you want next? What's missing? Happy to answer anything about the stack, the live detection, the AI search, the journey building this or anything else! I'm around in the comments and on Discord.
Cheers
- Ash
