While all these platforms are great, Stripe was the clear winner for MetricMap for three reasons: Data Depth: As a BI professional, I need the most granular API access possible. Stripe provides the richest data points, which allows MetricMap to sync revenue with user behavior with zero lag. Infrastructure vs. MoR: Platforms like Paddle, Lemon Squeezy, or Dodo Payments act as a Merchant of Record (handling taxes). Since I have my own legal setup (FOP/Estonia), I preferred Stripe’s direct financial infrastructure for lower fees and more control over the checkout experience. Ecosystem & Webhooks: Stripe’s webhook reliability is unmatched. For a real-time analytics tool like MetricMap, speed and data integrity are non-negotiable.
