The only thing I would say is that to make it even better it would be good to have a button to go back to the home page once you've logged in - maybe use the logo as a button?
And, it'd be great if more higher-order learning could be included e.g. real-life applications and synoptic linking. Flashcards are amazing, but can get overwhelming and monotonous very quickly.

Love that it actually flags your weak spots instead of just quizzing you randomly, so much better than rereading the same slides at 2am hoping it sticks. Does it handle messy handwritten notes too, or mostly typed slides and PDFs for now?
@yelyzaveta_kibets Thank youu! 🥹 That’s exactly what we’re trying to solve — actually finding the gaps instead of just making you go through the same content again and again. For now, it works best with typed PDFs, but handwritten notes are definitely something we’d love to support soon! 🫶

@sanyaaroraaa Typed PDFs first is the right order, handwriting is a different problem entirely. I'll keep an eye out for when that ships.
@yelyzaveta_kibets Hahaha absolutely! 😭🫶 And yes, typed PDFs felt like the right place to start — but handwriting support is definitely on the wishlist 👀 Would love to hear what your use case would be when we get there!

@sanyaaroraaa Not a student, so I came at this from the OCR side. Handwritten meeting notes would be my version of the problem.
Loved the app and the design! It worked really smoothly for me, with no issues overall.
I especially loved the “back to school” vibe haha 😎
There are just a couple of things that might need a small fix:
1:When creating a course, it can sometimes accidentally get duplicated 😅
2: flashcard generation can take a lot of time 😅
3: when using flashcards they can get stuck and not let you choose an answer
Other than that, the app is really amazing, and I’m looking forward to seeing more updates!
@catalina_oteiza Thank you so much, Catalina! 🥹🫶🏻 So glad you loved the app and the “back to school” vibe haha! 😭💗 And thank you for pointing these out — the duplicate course issue and the flashcard answering flow are definitely things we’ll work on. The flashcard generation can take a little longer right now because we’re currently running on a free-tier setup, but we’re looking forward to making it much faster as we scale! 🚀 Really appreciate you trying StudyLoop and sharing such detailed feedback!
@catalina_oteiza Thank you for your review! Just fixed a couple of the problems you pointed out, let us know if you run into trouble again! :)
Hey, Product Hunt! I'm Insharah, and I helped build StudyLoop.
The problem I faced was that most "AI study tools" answer questions using whatever the model already knows, not your actual lecture material. That's not studying, that's just chatting with a general-purpose LLM that happens to have your PDF open in a tab.
So StudyLoop only answers from what you upload; it parses your PDFs, chunks and embeds them locally, and if your slides don't cover something, it says so instead of making something up. It also builds a prerequisite graph from your material, generates flashcards grounded in the actual content, runs spaced repetition, and when you get something wrong, it traces back to which earlier concept is actually causing the gap, instead of just telling you to "review chapter 3" again.
Everything's local/self-hosted where it matters—embeddings run on CPU, no data going to third-party AI APIs beyond generation itself.
I won't pretend it's perfect! As the primary backend engineer, I would much rather hear what breaks for you than pretend it's polished.
Here's a question I have for you guys: What's the last time an AI tool confidently gave you a wrong answer about your own course material?
Try it here: https://studyloop-nu.vercel.app/
I love the idea of this app!! I’m definitely recommending this to a sibling going through the JEE phase
@shreya_yagain Aww thank you so much, Shreya! 🥹🫶🏻 That genuinely means a lot to us! And wishing your sibling all the best for their JEE journey 🚀📚 Hope StudyLoop makes those revision days a little less stressful! 💗
StudyLoop: Study smarter from your mistakes, not just your notes.
Most study tools give you more content to consume. StudyLoop flips that. It turns your own doubts and mistakes into a revision loop that actually sticks.
Upload your material. Get quizzes generated from it. Learn from where you went wrong not just what you already know.
As someone who has ADHD and knows exactly how it feels to read the same notes five times and retain nothing, we built this for. And then realised others needed it too.
It's free. It's live. And it took courage to ship it.
If you've ever felt like studying harder wasn't working, this is for you.
Check it out on Product Hunt and show some support if it resonates.
Would mean everything.
