Install your favourite websites as apps to directly access them from your dock or spotlight search. This service is for free and contains more than a million installable websites!
I've seen the possibility of installing a website as an app natively embedded into Microsoft Edge, which I found great. On Chrome I only knew you could create shortcuts, but not apps. Good to see this launched on PH, congratulations!
@jenny_romano It's actually Progressive Web Apps, websites that are installable with extra features. It works through any chromium browser such as Edge, Brave or Chrome.
Functions similar to the webpage shortcuts/add to homepage feature on Mobile Chrome (Android, and maybe iOS).
Also, this project reminds me of the are native WebView and WKWebView UI components on Mobile that essential can be wrappers in an app for a Website.
Great work!

Trying to install TikTok, but the grey "Install" button just brings up instructions on how to install, it doesn't actually install anything. (Yes, using Chrome)

Is there an API that I can use for my website where user can click and it will install my website on there device
Hey, thanks allot for making this. I tried two three other alternatives before that, but they either stopped working after a while or where only available via a hacky free trial. This is by far the best and easiest implementation! Definitely gonna turn a few things into a Mac app. (Coda, Miro, Google Maps, G Calendar, to name a few).

Interesting concecpt. What are the next big features on your roadmap?
Thank you. @sharlsz one of our main objective is to make sure that non-technical users can also make improvements directly on the site, e.g. if their website is not there, they can add it via UI or upload a better logo for their existing website if needed.
